Custom Luxury Office Furniture
Luxury office furniture can be simple in design yet elegant in expression. These U-shaped desks serve as examples of both. The gentle curves of the desk service contribute that sense of refinement that is part of everything we call “luxury.” The extended modesty panel on the front of each desk adds an element of symmetry to the design by concealing the bend in the surface. When viewed straight on, the the desk emerges before us as a contiguous, linear form composed of clean lines and right angles. Meanwhile, one arm of the U tapers back into a gently curved end, while the other arm of the “U” continues the linear form of the desk front all the way to the endpoint.
These design elements extend beyond the aesthetic into functional work flow applications. The linear arm of the desk is engineered to rest against the wall and extend all the way to the corner without wasting space. The curvelinear arm of the desk functions as an entry and exit point for the executive. Not only does it allow plenty of space for transit, it also eliminates the potential hazards of sharp corners should a hurried professional accidentally collide with the end.
While you may previously have visualized luxury office furniture as something reminiscent of late 19th Century or early 20th Century landed gentry, in reality the term applies to a much broader spectrum of desking systems. In many circles it now refers to veneer surfaces that add the warmth associated with the look and feel of natural wood. A very loose definition of the term may even apply to laminate colors that mimic the appearance of wood veneer—but this, in Cubiture's humble opinion, may be stretching the definition a bit too far.
Regardless, at the end of the day, luxury office furniture must do more than look elegant. It must also make the customer feel elegant by creating a sophisticated environment where only the very best work defines the benchmarks of true productivity.
